I’m the creator of the Norway scenery packages for Aerofly FS 2/4.
Since the site is closing, I want to make it clear that:

Anyone is free to mirror, re-upload, and share my files as long as they stay 100% freeware.

I don’t claim copyright, and I don’t require credit.
The only thing I don’t allow is selling or using the files in any commercial way.

Thanks to anyone who wants to help keep the Norway scenery packages alive for the community.

If Flight-Sim.org is closed at the end of 2025, the following applies to my content: Anyone is free to mirror, re-upload, and share my files as long as they stay 100% freeware. My trend is probably towards creating my own server for my own stuff, where I can always upload and publish the latest things.

Sad news, the site is officialy dead.

After more than five years, "Bella Italia - Part 1" had almost ten downloads yesterday. I think there was mass panic! None of them donated anything, by the way. And that's exactly why the site is shut down. I only received something from one person, and that was someone who had already donated several times over the years. The community should thank people like them; the rest should be utterly ashamed.

Nach über fünf Jahren hatte gestern "Bella Italia - Part1" noch mal fast zehn Downloads. Ich glaube, das war gestern Massenpanik! Gespendet hat von denen übrigens keiner was. Und genau darum ist die Seite zu. Ich selber habe nur von einer einzigen Person etwas bekommen, und zwar von einer Person, die auch so schon in all den Jahren öfter etwas gespendet hatte. Bei Personen wie diesen sollte sich die Community bedanken, der Rest sollte sich in Grund und Boden schämen.

Yep - definitely a more “store like” concept needs to arise.

I am happy the site administrators will have more time for their personal life.

Anybody that wants to share their work, has many alternatives to do it and we have this forum to announce new releases.

As far as I know, the operation of the website has cost more than was taken over by third parties. In this respect, the previous operator no longer has to provide his own private money for this. I think that's fine too.

It can't hurt.

By the way, it is relatively easy for my content to move to GitHub because the amounts of data are small enough. It is difficult for the IMAGES.

And we still have to pay attention to a legal problem: copyright. All publications on Flight-Sim.org are released exclusively for publication there and according to the law in Germany. Therefore, since the beginning of our considerations, Jens ( higgy ) and I have been thinking about the extent to which the current content…

As the admin (Erik Bender) had already given me a negative response at the time, this time my request remained in vain, sorry.

I am really sorry to hear this. My brother has just bought AFS4 and I have been briefing him about the site. What a shame. I hope someone with the appropriate know-how can somehow revive somewhere all the fantastic work that has been created, uploaded and made freely available to all the devotees of AeroFly.

Something very good about AFS4 is that it is totally usable without adding any third party add-ons, so don’t worry.
