Ever find aerofly boring. Do the following

  • Aerofly gets a little boring sometimes after takeoff and having a/p on there is usually less to monitor:rolleyes:

Do the following to enjoy the sim(especially for mobile)

    1. Fly shorter routes.

Either its a380 or c172 shorter routes has you alot to do in a short period of time this increases more fun8).

    2.Fly GA planes more.

Airliners are fun but they have very sophisticated autopilots which makes workload low after takeoff:( but GA planes expects constant inputs from you.

    3.Fly published procedure

The sim does have SIDS STARS and APP. But having the charts on the other screen and brief them makes alot of fun.

    4.Practice instrument flying.

Instead of doing long nav one can instead do some published and unpublished holding, flying in zero visibility and much more....you can learn real stuffs trough fun:/.

    5.Read checklist

This and hint no 3,4 are abit challenging for iPhone and Android users. But if you have an extra device to view documents from its fine🙂. For checklist some airliners arleady have checklist

    6.Do scenic flights

I've noted Zurich and Germany have alot of HD GA airports and alot to see like buildings mountains etc..

If there are anymore hit please add them as no 7:P.........

    Let's learn from each other

  • 7. Für die modernen Airliner lassen sich aus dem Internet die FCOMs und FCTMs herunterladen, die aus meiner Sicht eine sehr interessante Lektüre sind.

  • You are right in what you say.

My solution for making transatlantic or transcontinental flights of 10 or 12 hours and which I could recommend to players who want to make flights of this magnitude, It is to start the flight when they are already going to sleep, after 10 or 11 hours of flight depending on what time they get up in the morning, they would have more or less two hours maximum to reach their destination. This is what I do when I want to fly from Europe to America, from Europe to Asia for example:

    Zurich - Bangkok 11hours

San Francisco - London 10 Hours

Panama city - Amsterdam 10 Hours

    Etc😂

By the way! I almost forgot! To prevent your phones from suffering during the attempt or during the flight, which will obviously overheat, I recommend purchasing a phone cooler.

With a cooler like this your phone will hardly suffer at all since this model, which I have by the way, keeps the phone cool during my transoceanic or transcontinental flights of 10 or 12 hours.

  • Nah the few times ive done overseas flights, I just manually reposition my aircraft in the location menu along the route to wherever I feel like going to (usually an hour before T/D, thanks to IPACS for that very useful feature), and I calculate the time it would take to get there so I can advance the Simulator's time as best as I can.

I know my phone is good enough to handle the 8hr flights ive done, but I don't want to have to rely on a cooling fan 😂

  • Try set the Conditions->Wind->Thermal activity to High and then…

  • or

  • In mobile, it helped me to practice lands selecting long or short distance to the runway in the location configuration.

When you learn to land the glider, it will be more easy to fly it. Always use the thermals in maximum settings to have a fun flight, and later you will start choosing wind direction and intensity to do ridge soaring (google it :)

There are always thermals close to the airport where you departure, to gain altitude to start the trip. Good flights!

    Best regards, Juan

  • The biggest thing for me that makes the game feel boring at times is how sterile the world is.

I know this is amongst the most requested features, but adding ATC and cockpit announcements would add so much more immersion to flying airliners.

Also seeing passengers board / disembark, and vehicles refuelling aircraft etc (even if it’s purely cosmetic and has no effect), to make the world feel more alive and add much more fun.

I find listening to real world ATC broadcasts or watching preflight procedures on YouTube whilst I play, adds to the immersion and makes it feel more fun.

  • I usually put my tablet to the fridge 😂

  • And since this post is in the FS 4 section, 2 more helicopters can also be flown:
