We've had many threads with this exact topic. Unfortunately a newer database is not affordable, it would significantly increase the price of the app. When we do find an affordable solution we'll update the database.

Possible yes but not feasible. It would create more work on our side than just doing some data changes here or there directly.
For airports in FS 4, it currently works in such a way that the airfields included in FS 4 are the basis. However, if there is an airport with the same ICAO code in the user directory, then this has priority over the one from the FS 4.
I think of something similar with regard to the AIRAC data.
