Powerlines cables in AFS4

  • Would it be too complex to add cables to the powerlines? It would be great to have them.

For example for gliders, you must have a lot of care about them, and since AFS4 has a good collision detection, it would be great to be forced to not crash with them or land where powerlines are. Just a Monday wish! ;)

    Best regards, Juan

  • It would also be interesting if IPACS could subsequently correct certain pylons dimensions, for example; on railway lines with a smaller height and width, because as can be seen on the entire SIM card, they all come from the same high voltage model, i.e. large 500 kV pylons.

    This seems unreal.

    Thanks

  • Here's a representation of those large 500kW pylons that don't have their proper places???
Consequently, the railway pylons here appear to be well positioned and their dimensions are correct.

  • The power line tracks are in real world aviation charts. I don’t have any 1:500,000 scale paper charts handy but they are definitely in 1:250,000 charts.
They are even shown on U.S. ‘[City Name]’ half million and ‘[City Name TAC]’ quarter million charts in SkyVector.com, zoom in until multiple chart options become available.
They are also shown in City half million Canadian charts but no zoomed in cover is available in SkyVector’s rest of the world coverage.

I thought the power line tracks on charts were interesting rather than all that useful. They would be more helpful in very remote areas.
