I bought MSFS2024 recently. I am not getting rid of AFS4 or anything like that, I just like to mess around in different sims. I was on a flight this morning up in the north western part of my state of South Australia and noticed a plane icon on the map with the label of QFA933 on it. I thought it might be a user handle and I idly put QFA933 into google to see what would come up. What came up was flightaware.com and details of Qantas Flight QFA933 which is a flight from Brisbane to Perth in a B737, and also track details of where it was currently at. That matched my map display in MSFS2024! I was totally gob smacked. I never realized that the sim actually displayed the real time position of real flights in it. I know it is fashionable to knock and rubbish other sims but you have to hand to Asobo to manage this sort of interface. ![]()

Yes, Asobo has been integrated with flightaware.com for about a year and a half now.

I did not upgrade from 2020 and FSX till last week because of all the negative posts and vlogs. Nearly all undeserved as far as I can see now.

2020 and 24 are carefully stored in a drawer, but I always keep an eye on the evolution and stay in contact with the Asobo team.
