Interesting comparison of EC135 helicopter in sims

  • Hi, a very interesting comparison of Aerofly FS4, MSFS and X-Plane versions of the great EC135 helicopter, I agree AFS4 is optimal for VR.

  • Hi Juan, You could also try

Both are free and the work of a single user. I do apologise in advance for the yaw, I never did get it right in FS4 unlike FS2 where it just worked. The Lynx is accurate with the cold and dark start process, all systems and AFCS. I should know as I used to fly them. It's a pain to get going but so is the real Lynx until you know what to do. My knowledge of TMD programming has improved since the Lynx and a small group are now working on m C130H. You can't adjust any helicopter parameters as they are protected by encryption.

  • Yes, Juan, Steve has created some magnificent models for us, which could even be considered Payware versions, and I always enjoy flying them, although the Lynx is still just as difficult to tame.8o That said, I continue to learn about the lynx.

The only thing we might be missing here is the F-104.:/

  • Like the CH53E the modelling files have vanished into thin air. I did try to convert it by adjusting the tmd files but the sim wouldn't let me. They are probably on a usb stick somewhere but I have failed to locate them so far.

I did toy with the idea of building a slightly modified F104XL but the C130 has now won out for my affections.

I have also committed myself to write book 6 as a tribute to my brother who died last Sunday so time will be rather crowded for me.

Steve, Although we don't know each other here, in these sad moments, my thoughts are with you.
