I have been using the quest 3 which is new about two week but have been plagued with the debris or moisture in the usb c port message despite cleaning and drying of this port it has made no difference and spoils a great vr experience, I still have a few days left that I can return the quest under warranty. My system is ryzen7 5800x3d,gtx 4070 and 32g ram and was able to run fs4 at high settings and 1.3 rendering this gave me smooth visuals I use the link cable option as I dont don’t have a decent internet speed,I have looked at the pico 4 and Pimax light but the Pimax might be a bit heavy for my system, anyone using either of those headsets can give me some info how they run with as4 or any other headset recommendations, thanks in advance for you help.

I found that a non conductive thin point of hard paper card or thin food container plastic can reach into the depths of a usb c socket and drag out compacted material from a supposedly clean port. It makes a difference to how positively the lead connection feels. Care needs to be taken to avoid damaging the two sided array of tiny electrical contacts.

Tried with small brush no harm in giving the paper a try

I tried the PiMax Crystal Light. Sharper visuals but a lot more jittery and noticeably heavier than the Quest 3. Quest 3 seems to be the best compromize in terms of quality versus performance on my RTX 4080. I bought a deidcated 6e router and use Virtual Desktop to good effect. Seems as quick or quicker than the link cable. I haven't had any issued with the USB port on mine.

I don’t have a 6e router what brand is yours.

I'm using a Pico4, RTX 4070, and 32 GB of RAM.
Connected via a USB cable and Pico Connect app, I achieve 80–90 FPS at Ultra setting (flight level 9000ft), in high density areas (tested in Paris) in low-level flight the frame rate drop to around 40 FPS .
The "only" High Quality setting increases the frame rate by 10 to 20 FPS.
Hope that helps.

If you are getting this error message I suggest you try another usb3 link cable. I use the official meta link cable and it works perfectly with my +2yo Q3/512Gb. Otherwise, contact Meta support and see if they can help.

Seems this problem has been ongoing for two years but no fix, I am waiting on a new link cable but doubt this will resolve the issue as many users have tried this fix,I have changed my usb adapter which charges at a lower level but takes longer to charge the quest which is not very good if your doing a long flight,so I haven’t had any error message but will try with the new link cable
