• Hi,

I recently purchased the app and got a subscription.

I realized I cannot download a region of the map to play off-line. Even on regions that I recently played, I still need to be connected to the internet to be able to play when I restart the app.

This really limits the use of the app for me because I want to use Aerofly on the phone when I'm traveling, and that means I don't have reliable internet for most of the time. In many cases, I don't have internet at all.

At home, I prefer to play on my computer instead.

My main question is if it can be considered an option to download a small region of the scenery to be played off-line. Maybe when the user sets the navigation in the main menu.

Another issue is that I would like to have the option to buy the regions as a DLC instead of a subscription. I think both plans can work together.

    Thank you!

  • We have considered this and due to the additional data consumption the subscription price would have to be increased significantly. Currently only a small region around the current position needs to be downloaded. If we would pre-load the entire route or a large region the data consumption could easily be 20-100x greater, so the subscription would have to get that much more expensive as well.

Thank you for the answer, very appreciated.

I understand that data consumption would be higher, but this feature would only be used when users cannot be on-line. The data downloaded by all the users together would not be that higher... I think. If users can stream the data, they will still be streaming.
