How about an Aerofly mobile view with the device held in the vertical position? In the real world a complex plane’s pilot is focused more on inside the cockpit with looks outside only as necessary.
This view option might not appeal to the perhaps younger game demand users but those of us who want to simulate operating an aeroplane would benefit from a more direct view of the instruments and controls which would also be bigger and easier to read in an aspect ratio view more tailored for aeroplane pilot’s needs.
Increasingly higher aspect ratio phones also produce tiny instrument panel images with the unnecessarily wide panoramic views.
Broader outside views would be only an easy finger swipe away when needed and the ground features would also be larger and more recognisable.
This is vastly easier to present with a mobile device than with a P.C. Monitor. Vertical orientation for P.C. use is rare, principally for professional publishing and photo/graphics work but with tablets or phones the vertical orientation is freely used almost without conscious thought.
If I may show my total ignorance here, would allowing Aerofly FS in vertical/portrait mode be relatively simple? the work being well worth it for the benefit gained?
