Do any of the user base think 3rd party developments should be payware, if not, why not?

I ask the question as there are 2 releases due, maybe more, where the developers have invested well over a 1,000 hours so I simply ask if they should be compensated.

It is up to you, but I think I will pay for 3rd party addons as that is time which was invested by someone to bring us new amazing features, sceneries, liveries,... . If it is about C130

For me yes. I paid for all the Orbx sceneries when we used FS2 and would pay again if we had quality add on scenery again. But I also think there are folk who create things as a hobby and their reward is making something that actually works rather than making any money out of it. So basically it depends on what the developers aims are.
If there is an easy and reputable platform to pay with, I think that a payment or donation would be fine. Again, this is up to you guys and ultimately I think we are all grateful for the hard work you have put in.

Definitely support payment for the great work done by 3rd party developers. There has been some really impressive work on aircraft and scenery in the past and I am really looking forward to the C130.

Absolutely, I've always been in favor of compensating third-party authors. In fact, to cite just one example, Apache could easily have been considered a payware model. 
Thanks again for all the great models you've generously developed for the community since FS2.

For example, on a platform like JustFlight, the prices are far from justified, despite the beautiful models they offer. Especially when you later learn that all the developers have vanished to other simulators, leaving us without any updates for our FS4 simulator.
I would never have minded paying a difference for the update. Unfortunately, it was decided otherwise.
A big mistake that I won't make again.
Aircraft creators are a rare breed in this community. I say it's completely acceptable if the price justifys the quality of work. You'd probably even make a killing if it was out for mobile 
But it's for AF4, and we all know it's really about doing these things out of love.

And from what I've read on the other thread, in addition to the 32,000 lines added to the TMD, it becomes much more than just courage and perseverance.
Meanwhile there are 41,000 lines in the c130.tmd and a few thousand in other system.tmd.
Almost all of my simulators got paid DLCs sooner or later. Most often I acquired new aircraft, whenever I thought there was something unique to be experienced with the new aircraft.
Being a developer myself I firmly believe that good work should be paid.
I also liked DLCs I bought on Steam, because the DLC could be updated and redownloaded without any bigger complications or instructions.

Partly yes, if we take into account those of FS2, ORBX, Aerosoft, JustFlight, up to FS2, not beyond.

As a result, I was about to buy the mobile version, but I've decided against it. Since some items are incompatible with the Android version, this saves me from having to request a refund later;)
I invest much more in DLCs than in the simulators itself, speccially in aircrafts, so I vote for yes.
Also as an amateur coder, I understand how much work it is behind each release, so I value and admire good work a lot.
