TCA Airbus Pack- Wheel Brake(s) issue- Resolved

  • Hi,

Just bought the Airbus stick and cannot "Map" anything as the button numbers in FS4 do not show any category such as "Main Brqkes" "Reverse Thrust" etc...

So any inputs just show button locations under the Twin Jet set-up......Need help setting up the mapping. This is not at all like X-Plane which gives a laundry list

of possible button assignments..........Are the developers in FS4 working on this issue?? Would be next to impossible to add anything other than the defaults.....

Thanks for reading. Can't right now even stop the aircraft (no brakes).............

  • Did you do it the way it's described here?

  • Hi,

I tried doing an "assignment" under the Twin Jet column "Air Brake" but it did not work........looking for regular brakes only. All other functions fine.

Please tell me where input, and what input should be made from my stick........I like to use the "Trigger" or button 1 on the joystick for regular braking....

Thanks for replying! And yes, I tried all of these inputs previously but they did not work..........plane keeps rolling unless parking brake is set....

    :)

  • For the "reverse thrust" did you setup the joy stick for it (see this PDF)?

It's button "17" from that document.

I have this set for "Button 3" on my TCA Airbus stick (see the pamphlet that came with the stick with the button numbering). Mapped to "General > Airplane > Wheel Brake".

  • Thank you for your reply Mr. David James.....By putting the stick back to the default assignments and erasing commands that I put in, everything is now working just fine.

Button #3 now controlling this. Us "Beginners" are learning as we go along.......Thank you!:)I read your other post about the stuck yoke- JetPack's instruction seems perfect

for this, I had a similar problem. Now resolved.
