Unresponsive Touch Screens VR

  • Hi IPACS team,

I have noticed the touch screens on the aircraft that support them are more or less unusable in vr, I have to resort to using the mouse. When you touch the screens it just moves the cursor to where you touched; however, pressing an on-screen button or selecting a field is very difficult.

    Quest 3

    Kind regards

Good to see it's flagged and being looked into!

  • By the way, something very good in AFS4 is the mouse control in VR, for example much better than in X-Plane. I prefer to use it when I fly in VR instead the Quest 3 controllers (and the physical yoke or joystick to control the aircraft).

    Best regards, Juan

That makes absolutely no sense to me. I use the touch controllers in the A320 flawlessly for FMC/FCU and the overhead. It works as intuitively as the real aircraft. There is a bug that needs fixing in the A350 and other touchscreen aircraft; no demands, just hoping the devs will fix it in the future.

I also use this sim with rudder pedals, A320 thrust levers, a tiller, a sidestick, and voice control for flaps/gear etc. I'd rather not touch the mouse unless using the menus.

How do you use voice control

  • This is free if you only need it for a few commands (like flaps, autopilot engage, gear etc) I use the paid version, so I can program things like visibility adjusting to metar files, and some other more complex features. https://voiceattack.com/

Basically, if you can type it or click with your mouse (no matter how complex the combination), you can convert it to a voice command
