What happened to Tromso & others?

  • Hello people,

in the winter time I like to fly to scandinavia, especially to the north like Tromso, Rovaniemi, Alta, Kiruna, etc.

But they all have one problem in common: There are no buildings, sometimes not even Terminals and no trees! This is really sad, especially regarding that we have the amazing SAS A320neo and that many of these airports are famous and beloved, also in real life.

Its also really strange that there seems to be an unvisible border where the trees and buildings stop spawning, for example Bergen, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki but also small airports like Alesund or Trondheim do have trees and buildings. Further up north, it just stops somehow…:/

Can someone explain to me why the north of scandinavia has this issue or if somebody else has this problem? I hope it gets fixed 8o

    Cheers!

Changed the title of the thread from “No trees/buildings in northern Scandinavia” to “What happened to Tromso & others?”.
  • I did some research and you can see it perfectly on the example of Rovaniemi: There is this border where trees and buildings suddenly stop spawning, like a straight line. This line is the northern arctic circle which goes exactly through Rovaniemi. Above there, no trees nor buildings will spawn, this explains why Tromso for example is completely empty.

As mentioned before, especially in the winter time, these airports are very busy and popular. I would be glad if this (bug?) gets fixed and we will get Tromso airport and other airports soon :)

    Thanks!<3

  • It is roughly located in the western and northern parts of Norway around 67° north latitude, and also includes some northern regions of Sweden.

In addition, some mid-latitude regions are also missing some buildings.

I think they are still continuing to investigate it.
