After a week with the new update, here are my thoughts:
The Good:
1. The A320neo engine sounds (both engine types) are fantastic as many others have mentioned. Especially with headphones it's amazing. Easily the best one out of all aircraft so far.
2. The A350 cabin is very cool and a positive development
3. Weight and balance was very much needed. The A380 especially now can do full-length takeoffs.
4. The 787-9 and A320neo liveries are a real highlight—Not only is the variety plentiful, but the quality seems better than ever. I am not a fan of the new Korean Air livery in real life, but somehow in Aerofly, it looks good when the sun hits it.
The Bad:
1. I love the new A350 cabin, but sadly I'm turned off from flying the aircraft entirely. I really miss the forward engine views before the update because they were so good and the sounds were great as well. I hope this can be fixed soon, perhaps either disabling the cabin entirely and bringing back the old wing views, or bringing the free camera to mobile, or allowing both cabin and the old views together (12 views total).
2. I must admit the 787-9 is disappointing for Aerofly "standards". In no way am I saying it's bad at all, but it's underwhelming. I thought 4 years after the 787-10, releasing the 787-9 would be the opportunity for new sounds. Flaps, touchdown, engine startup, and refined engine upper-end thrust sounds like the A350 are missing, but those weren't included. The current sounds are quite weak, including internal and 100% thrust. I was also hoping for engine spirals on all liveries.
Was the 787-9 rushed to be included in the December update? I would have been absolutely okay if the 787-9 were kept in development longer so that these features can be included and bring it up to par with the A350. No matter, I hope these can be implemented in the future.
Other Comments:
1. Thank you for finally fixing the 787-10 liveries from 4 years ago and adding new ones! They look great!
2. I don't believe I have said it yet, but bringing trees to iOS mobile has been my highlight of this year for Aerofly. It truly changes a lot. I thought performance would tank but everything has been smooth.
Overall, great update, and I really love the A320neo! I hope the new sounds will pave the direction for future engine sounds!
Aerofly continues to be the best simulator visually and by accuracy
