Airport Sceneries created by Pilot Boy | FS 4 & FS 2 | Freeware Downloadlink

  • Since Flight-sim.org has shut down I have to find a way to still make my airports availabe for download.

I have uploaded the airports to my google drive.

    Link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/…waY?usp=sharing

    Included airports:

    -Ulsan_RKPU

    -RoiEt_VTUV

    -Muscat_OOMS

    -Montreal_CYUL

    -Martinique_TFFF

    -MardePlata_SAZM

    -DejerbaZazris_DTTJ

    -ChristmasIsland_YPXM

    I have not included yet:

    -Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (VTBS)

    -Japan Airport Pack

Since they are all undergoing updates.

    Enjoy!:)

  • Allelujah! Finally a person with the 'caring is sharing' mindset... ;) Amazing work, thank you for the alternative link.

Can you kindly briefly explain me how do I install external sceneries like these ones into AeroFly?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind Regards,

  • How to install the sceneries:

First locate your scenery folder of Aerofly. Usually under documents.

For my airports follwing folders are used:

    -"airports"

    -"elevation"

    -"poi"

The airport, the file with just a name (green) (e.g. "SAZM" or "Montreal_intl_airport_ca") needs to be placed into the "airports" folder

If there is a funny number (coordinates) (e.g. wXXXXXnXXXXX) , that folder has to placed into the "poi" folder

If there is an elevation fix (red) , that has to placed into the "elevation" folder

I will be updating most airport to use the "poi" folder, since now there are a lot of error messages when loading Aerofly in the tm.log.

  • Thank you very much for your explanation, I installed them all, they appear to work very well.

Q: I noticed in some of your airports, like TFFF (see screenshot below) but also OOMS, DTTJ or CYUL, that 2 Parking stands can be choosen at the same spot, but one behind the other. I have not seen this with default sceneries. (lately I flew in/out of RJTT, LEMD, WIII, VHHH, WMKK, WSSS, GCLP, EFHK, LTFJ, EHAM, VTBS, LTFM, SBBE and SBGR, and did not see any double parking spots. Is this a fault of some sort, or a glitch that perhaps occurs with external sceneries only?

I have installed the airports (I use MacOS) just as you told me, but in the Steam Folder for MacOS users:

I only renamed them for organizational and structural purposes. What could be the cause of this?

The FS 4 has this logic to display airfields from FS 4 and from the user directory:

    (1) If the file names in the FS 4 directory and in the user directory are identical, only the airfield from the user directory is displayed.

    (2) If the file names in the FS 4 directory and in the user directory are different, both airfields are displayed.

If there are e.g. tfff.tmb, tfff.toc, tfff.tsc and tfff.wad in the FS 4 and in the user directory tfff01.tmb, tfff01.toc, tfff01.tsc and tfff01.wad, then both airfields overlap. If in such a case there are two parking positions on one position, the parking position in the user directory must be deactivated.

  • Thank you for the information, ApfelFlieger. It seems indeed the names are slightly different:

Can these simply be renamed, or would that cause huge chaos?

With some sceneries I have done this intentionally.

When choosing a larger aircraft like the B777, then you can choose the stand further behind, and when choosing an A320 the one which is in front. I always felt like that especially the A320s are too far behind from the actual parking position. But I guess that's only me...:/

I will update all airports, so that it doesn't use the slightly different names and change all the custom objects to a POI-object. This should then completely remove the problem, that two sceneries overlap. (It will be like the "Mar de Plata" / SAZM airport). The double stands should stay the same, but if everyone doesn't want it, I will remove this option.

I've done that sometimes. It is then helpful to specify typical aircraft in the line <[string8][name][GATE01_A380]> and to limit the span appropriately in the line <[float64][radius][7.5]>. Unfortunately, no minimum span can be specified.

    Code
                        <[tm_airport_pd_parking_position][element][0]
                            <[vector2_float64][position][-61.005336307635 14.59319792393]>
                            <[float64][direction][-10]>
                            <[float64][radius][7.5]>
                            <[string8][name][Parking0]>
                            <[float64][type][parked_ga]>

In my opinion, this is the most sensible solution in the long term.:)

  • Hi Pilot boy

I was wondering the other day, what does your "Japan Airport Pack" precisely include.
Are these mostly medium-to-bigger hubs in Japan, or more smaller regional airports around Land of the Rising Sun?

    Kind Regards,

    AeRodri

  • Hi AeRodri

There are big airport like Osaka Kansai or an enhancement pack for Tokyo Haneda

Medium ones like Hakodate or Kagoshima

and small ones like Hachijojima, Oshima, Saga airport

Here you can find some screenshots:

  • Great sceneries, Pilot boy , all of them.

I have great memories flying Cargo with the MD11 from and to Kansai and Haneda back in the day with the old FS9, so I'm looking forward to your airport enhancements and updates. Please keep us all in the loop of things when you release these. ;)
