✈️ Aerofly – Project 26 Overview
Project 26 represents a major step forward for Aerofly, focusing on increased realism, immersion, and operational challenge. One of the key areas of improvement is a significantly enhanced weather system designed to better reflect real-world flying conditions.
🌦️ Expanded Weather Simulation
Project 26 will introduce a wider range of weather options, allowing pilots to experience more demanding and dynamic environments, including:
- Stronger and more variable winds, affecting aircraft handling and flight planning
- Rain and thunderstorm conditions with increased intensity
- Snow and winter weather, impacting visibility and runway operations
- Sand and dust storms in arid and desert regions
These additions aim to make weather a meaningful factor during all phases of flight, both VFR and IFR.
🌪️ Severe & Extreme Weather
Project 26 also looks toward the inclusion of severe weather scenarios, adding further depth and challenge:
- Hurricanes / tropical storm systems with powerful winds and heavy precipitation
- Tornado-like atmospheric effects, featuring strong localized turbulence
These conditions are intended to simulate complex weather environments and enhance realism without compromising performance.
🌍 What This Means for Aerofly Pilots
- Greater immersion through realistic atmospheric behavior
- Weather that directly influences aircraft performance and decision-making
- Increased variety and challenge in global flight operations
🗓️ Features from 2025 Release Dates
- MD-11F (Cargo Aircraft) at least 5-6 months
- Moving Map System hopefully in the next few months.
Project 26 sets the foundation for Aerofly’s continued evolution, with additional features and aircraft planned throughout 2026.
