Do you want to know how to create individual objects for airports or how to create complex airports?

I am starting from zero. Is there a software I need to download?

Is there a creation tool by IPACS?

There is one, where you can place so-called "x-ref-models" (default models used at basically any airport) and place the runways and taxiways. So you can already build a basic airport.
If you want to make custom 3D models, you first need to have a 3D model (a terminal for example) in a 3D software like Blender, and then convert the model to a readable file for Aerofly.

For the creation of airports, IPACS offers an AirportCreationTool (ACT), but unfortunately it never got beyond the beta phase. With this tool, rudimentary elements such as runways, surfaces, lines, parking positions, lights and X-REF buildings can be created. In the meantime, however, more complex elements such as ground text, jetways, taxiways and approaching lights as well as winch and aircraft tow have been added, all of which would have to be described cleanly so that it also works for many.
I started with the airports years ago and worked out most of it myself on the way try & error. I can imagine that over the next few weeks and months I will compile and publish my knowledge in such a way that it can be a good basis for other users.
