F4U arresting hook

I want to ask. I have a problem to get arresting hook into up position. After landing on the aircraft carrier, I cannot move as the hook is hooked on a cable. The lever only moves within parking and down position. Does somebody else have this problem, or maybe help how to solve this? Thanks.

I have this issue too, but I think that releasing the hook from the arresting cable after landing isn't possible right now.
