A320 Family – Wing Colour and Livery Accuracy

  • Hello everyone,

this is my first post, so please let me know if I’m doing something wrong. 🙏

First, I’d like to talk about the wing colours of the A320 family. While flying the Lufthansa A320neo, I noticed that the wings are painted grey. On the real aircraft, however, they are painted white. I then checked several A320 family liveries and noticed that on almost all aircraft the wings are painted grey, except for the Air New Zealand A320. On that aircraft, the wings should indeed be grey.

The Lufthansa A320neo isn’t the only aircraft affected by this. All Lufthansa A320 family aircraft in the new livery have white wings in real life, and the same also applies to Eurowings. I would really love to see this corrected.

I also noticed that the IndiGo A320neo has the “metal mask,” which is not present on the real aircraft.

Additionally, I would like to suggest an A320 update. By this, I mean adding both engine options, updating existing liveries, and adding new ones. The “metal mask” should be removed and only applied to aircraft that have it in real life. As for new liveries, I would also suggest adding the new Edelweiss livery.

These are, of course, only small details, and the simulator is still great. However, I think correcting these points would add even more realism.

Thank you for your time, and thanks to the IPACS team for the great simulator.

  • Is that the only problem right now? We're aiming to go to the moon, and you're dealing with painting problems?

I completely understand that there are bigger priorities and more complex features in development.
I just wanted to point out some visual inconsistencies that might be relatively easy to correct and would improve realism.
Of course, core features and performance always come first. 🙂
