Forum searches unfruitful

    I find the best way to look up relevant past threads is to do an external ‘aerofly (topic)’ search on google, not in the forum search box. As an example If I try a forum search in forums category for ‘F-15 course’ I get course links but nothing that involves the F-15, if I search for ‘F-15 nav’ it brings up tons about nav but it never is relevant to the F-15. I have always found the forum search process to be simply unhelpful. What am I doing wrong?

    I hope this doesn’t just get deleted. It is as on topic here as anywhere else, there is no forum issues section, so far.

    Simply type "F15" and all F15 topics will appear. But I agree with you, sometimes it's a bit confusing.

    Try that and sub menus are offered, pick one like ‘F-15 Nav’ and as I said it doesn’t give any F-15 relevance. F-15 alone just dumps everything, I presume there is a way to narrow things down, as I said Google seems to do a better job than forum search.
    I’m looking for some unexplained or secret search protocol to make it work better, I might be too old and stupid to see where I am going wrong.

    Some past solution on how to move the course selection in the mobile F-15 is my target! In PC it needs computer keyboard presses.

    Yes, I always search on Google too; it usually has very useful information. The search function in the forum takes some getting used to, Sometimes GPT is used in chat, but that's not always correct. It's better to stick with Google 👍🖖
