New A3xx system failure Mod incoming

  • This is a quick demonstration of a mod I've been working on for a while, starting with the A350, then I'll move on to the smaller A3xx series. Just a brief video showing you one of the more (rare )severe failures that you can encounter.

A few things to note, as usual, VR vids are a little shaky, my sim seat is on a bass tranducer platform, so it makes the shakiness even worse. Apologies if its a bit rough to watch

I have tailored the random failures to be extremely rare, as a line pilot you will generally only experience minor glitches, but you should always be ready for something major to happen. So I have coded this to simulate reality; you can customise it yourself to force any failure or increase the chance of any major issues to show up, as demonstrated in this video.

I hope to have it released within the next week. It was primarily designed for myself, since the PC userbase seems quite small, but its been fun to create, and exactly what I wanted, So I'll upload for anyone who wants a reason to keep an eye on the instruments and conduct those take-off briefs for the unlikely event that things start going wrong.

The Mod also fixes a couple of things - Autobrake Off now sounds correctly at low speeds, and the brake temperatures are working like the smaller airbuses. A few other fixes I'll add to the readme on release. I'll move to the Boeings at a later date.

    Cheers

Changed the title of the thread from “New A3xx system fauilure Mod incoming” to “New A3xx system failure Mod incoming”.
  • Ok, 🙏thanks for it. Will it be for PC version only air even mobile version??

  • The last of the more complicated scenarios is complete (Thank you for the tips, Jan)

I have tested everything on multiple PC's, however, if anyone is available to Beta test this, please contact me privately, not on this thread. I'll send you a link to download.

    A350-1000 DISPATCH FAILURE SUITE V1.0 - Rob/777Driver
FOR AEROFLY FS4 - MMEL (MASTER MINIMUM EQUIPMENT LIST)
    USER GUIDE / README

    ——————————————————————————————

    OVERVIEW

The A350 Dispatch Failure Suite is a realism enhancement mod for Aerofly FS4 that introduces airline-style technical faults and operational scenarios.

Zero performance hit, the GUI does not need to be open whilst the sim is running

    To install -

    1. Copy the A350_1000 Folder to Documents\Aerofly FS 4\aircraft

    2. Launch A350_Dispatch_GUI.exe inside the A350 DISPATCH subfolder

To delete - Simply delete or move the A350_1000 Folder out of Documents\Aerofly FS 4\aircraft

This also includes a sound mod, this balances engine, ground roll, wind sounds. That sound Mod is 'NOT' required for the Dispatch suite to work

Delete 'Parameters' inside Documents\Aerofly FS 4\aircraft\a350_1000\soundmod if you would prefer the default sound pack.

    ——————————————————————————————

The system simulates how real aircraft are dispatched — with faults that may exist before departure or develop during flight based on conditions such as altitude, speed, or time at cruise.

This creates a much more immersive and unpredictable flying experience, ideal for procedural training, scenario practice, or simply adding realism to normal flights.

This mod does NOT modify the default aircraft systems. All failures are injected using overlay files, keeping the base aircraft completely untouched.

    ——————————————————————————————

    HOW THE DISPATCH SYSTEM WORKS

When you press DISPATCH, the system randomly selects failures using weighted logic similar to airline operational reliability models.

Most dispatches will be normal, but occasionally you may receive technical issues that require abnormal procedures or decision making.

    Failures may:

    • Exist before engine start
    • Trigger during climb
    • Occur after extended cruise
    • Activate at specific speeds or altitudes
    • Develop gradually

The goal is to simulate real-world unpredictability rather than scripted scenarios.

    ——————————————————————————————

    FAILURE CATEGORIES

    MAJOR FAILURES

Major failures simulate significant aircraft system faults that require abnormal procedures or emergency handling.

    Examples include:

    • Engine failures at various flight phases
    • Engine fires
    • Cruise exposure failures
    • Electrical system failures
    • Generator and bus failures
    • Cabin altitude / pressurization events
    • Combined system degradations
    • Reverser door fauilres

These events are intentionally rare to reflect real-world reliability.

    MINOR FAULTS

Minor faults simulate small technical defects that do not prevent flight but may affect system behaviour or indications.

    Examples include:

    • Sensor degradations
    • Electrical component faults
    • Oil system irregularities
    • Navigation or avionics anomalies
    • Generator degradations
    • Minor system warnings

Minor faults may appear alone or alongside major events.

    ——————————————————————————————

    MAINTENANCE / RETURN TO CLEAN

The Maintenance button resets the aircraft to a clean technical state by clearing all 'Major' failure overlays.

    ——————————————————————————————

    REALISM PHILOSOPHY

This mod is designed to reflect real airline operational behaviour rather than dramatic failure scenarios.

    Most flights should be normal.

Sever failures are intentionally weighted to be rare but meaningful, encouraging realistic decision making rather than constant emergencies.

    ——————————————————————————————

    MMEL REFERENCE

An included MMEL document is provided for users who wish to understand how real operators assess aircraft dispatch conditions.

You do NOT need to study the MMEL to use the mod, but it can add context for those interested in airline procedures and operational limitations.

A350 FCOM/FCTM is available online for those wishing to study the aircraft systems in depth.

Airbus also has excellent docs available for free on their website - https://www.aircraft.airbus.com/sites/g/files/…50-900-1000.pdf

    ——————————————————————————————

    INSTALLATION

Place the A350 Dispatch folder inside the A350 aircraft directory as instructed in the installation guide.

No original aircraft files are modified.

    ——————————————————————————————

    IMPORTANT NOTES

    • This is a simulation tool intended for entertainment and procedural practice
    • Not intended for real-world operational use
    • Some failures may require knowledge of Airbus procedures
    • Always reset to clean if unexpected behaviour occurs
    • Compatible with standard Aerofly FS4 aircraft updates

    ——————————————————————————————

    KNOWN BEHAVIOUR

Because failures are condition-based, some events may not trigger on every flight.

This is intentional and reflects realistic system reliability.

    ——————————————————————————————

    FUTURE EXPANSION

    Planned additions include:

    • Expanded pressurization scenarios
    • Additional avionics faults
    • More minor fault diversity
    • Scenario-based dispatch profiles

    A319/320/321 /787/777

    ——————————————————————————————

    FEEDBACK

Community feedback is welcome and helps refine failure behaviour and realism.

    ——————————————————————————————

    ENJOY

This mod is designed to make every flight feel a little more alive — sometimes routine, sometimes challenging — just like real airline operations.

  • Version 1.0 is uploaded - Thank you to Jan and Michael 🙏

    To install -

    1. Copy the A350_1000 Folder to Documents\Aerofly FS 4\aircraft

    2. Launch FLIGHTTECH_Dispatch.exe inside the A350 DISPATCH subfolder

    3. Once launched, the A350 is immediately updated. Click maintenance to clear any minor faults from the previous flight, click tech log to view a history of any minor technical issues

  • Hey 777Driver

Just installed the mod (which is a really awesome feature and makes for a more immersive experience!). However, after having followed installation instructions as stated, not sure if this is just me but once all is loaded up, I just get a big red cube that says stop displayed on my monitor instead of the aircraft.

Just thought I'd let you know of this bug!

If you have any solutions or want any more information drop a reply!

  • i colesed it wait i will launch it again

Also idk if it has anything to do with it but i have Kai Tak installed in Documents\Aerofly FS 4\addons\scenery

    My pc is:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz
    32 gigs of ram
    1.5 tb ssd
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti

Edited once, last by Jet-Pack (IPACS): Merged 2 posts created by Trailay into this post. (February 25, 2026 at 5:16 PM).

  • No, Kai tak is fine; that log also shows the Dispatch Mod is fine. So it is the Sound Mod I included, causing the issue. I'm downloading to a laptop now. Will test and get back to you.

If you would like to test in the meantime, I'd recommend deleting the sub folder called soundmod - You can delete that entire folder, it included some upgraded sounds, and working brake temps. I can re-add them later after I've tested them

    Thanks

  • Deleting the soundmod folder should definitely work. It included a brake temperature mod I created last year; unfortunately, that mod requires a part of the default brake section to be commented out, so it will cause the error you saw on your system. Apologies.

I'll see if I can get it working over the next few days. I have updated the files on my Google Drive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HMulXR…?usp=drive_link

  • Hi, I've just uploaded a version with a tickbox, which will activate engine failures and fires by default, it also includes the MMEL doc, and adds a few extra things to the electrical fault section.

I'll add a tickbox to force emergency decent scenarious, those are fun.

    Same link for V1.4 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HMulXR…iew?usp=sharing

  • Version 1.5 (PC ONLY!) is now available with a ground air cart for bleed air. The ground air cart will provide bleed air for engine start and cabin conditioning on the ground if the following conditions are met:

// GROUND HIGH PRESSURE AIR CART
// On ground + park brake set + APU Shutdown
// Connected with 0 or 1 engine running
// Disconnects with both engines running

In real life, airports require crew to use the APU for the minimum amount of time possible. EXT power and Ground air should always be used if available.

I have also added additional system faults with the APU - APU Bleed Air faults/ APU Gen failure/ APU gen frequency anomalies.

This is system logic only, no visual ground cart on the ramp - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HMulXR…?usp=drive_link
