I thought the pilot's safety attitude stank, the steep turns at low level were ridiculous. I looked up the plane's reg and found pics of the plane on its back, thankfully the pilot was only lightly injured. The plane looks interesting especially triple braced struts!

Indeed, such a tight turn at such a low altitude is risky; I saw that once with a PC-6, unfortunately the pilot was not so lucky.

The Wilga and the Gawron had the same 260 hp AI-14R radial engine. The Gawron was produced in much larger series than the Wilga. It was a modified version of the Russian Yak-12. I thought the vertical stabiliser looked ‘Yak’, they have a family shape. The Soviet era front blanking plates on the radial engine intakes look like a really good idea for cool climates. The unusual wing end plates are brilliant.
A new light aircraft for us would be welcome, the Robin was about the oldest ever Aerofly plane, just new to recent Aero. Something with slots and slats and low landing speeds would please me more than some big horsepower brute.

Well, I didn't think the Gawron would get your attention so much. The original Yak-12 had fewer braced struts and also lacked the wing end plates. These do prevent the formation of wingtip vortices, but they make the Gawron more sensitive to crosswinds.

Edit:

The effect of the wing end plates is clearly visible in the Gawron photo of the sprayer, where wingtip vortices do not form, but they can be clearly observed in the An-2 photo below.

It would really be nice to have a Gawron in the simulator, preferably in the mobile version. Or a Fieseler Sorch with an Argus engine. Yakovlev wrote in his autobiography that the ancestor of the Yak-12 was born when Stalin ordered him to make an aircraft like the German Storch, but preferably immediately.

• click on the green button and a small sub-menu will open
• click on "Download ZIP" and download the file - the file should then automatically unziemlich
• move the unzipped folder to the directory ".../addons/aircraft/..." in your user directory
• rename the folder (most: delete the addon "-master"

It is important that the name of the folder exactly matches that of the TSC and TMD.
