I managed to get the software working again, but without the packages, which won’t load anymore.
To do this, I followed ChatGPT’s advice (by showing it the crash folder).
In Finder:
Delete the aerofly folder.
Can you please try a previous version of Aerofly RC 10. We have a public branch in Steam for this and it's called 'stable_v10010509'. Please choose that one as a Steam Beta build for Aerofly RC 10 in your Steam client. Does Aerofly RC 10 work with that older version?

@momentmal Koennten Sie bitte mal in Steam eine Vorversion der aktuellen Version ausprobieren. Dazu in Steam bitte den oeffentlichen Beta Kanal 'stable_v10010509' ausprobieren. Laeuft damit der Aerofly RC 10 wieder?
Die Grafikkarte ist recht alt, evtl. benutzen wir in den neuesten Version Features, die von der aktuellen Karte nicht mehr unterstuetzt sind.
Vielen Dank für den Hinweis, passiert immer am PC bei den Großeltern wenn die Neffen & Nichten spielen wollen - mit der genannten stable Version startet der Simulator nun wieder 👌Die Kids wirds freuen 🥰
