Hello Aerofly Development Team,
First of all, thank you for the amazing work you have done on the Airbus family in the simulator. The Airbus A320neo and the A320 CEO with CFM56 engines are already very well implemented and highly enjoyable to fly.
However, I would like to suggest expanding the A320 family further by adding the A320-200 (CEO) variant equipped with IAE V2500 engines.
At the moment, the simulator includes the CFM56-powered CEO and the Neo version, but the V2500 configuration is still missing. This variant is not a minor detail — it represents one of the two major engine options that defined the A320 CEO program worldwide.
The IAE V2500 differs from the CFM56 in several important aspects:
Different thrust ratings (up to around 33,000 lbf depending on subvariant)
Noticeably different engine sound profile (especially during spool-up and high power settings)
Slight differences in climb performance and acceleration response
Distinct EGT and N1/N2 behavior during takeoff and go-around
For flight simulation enthusiasts, these technical differences are meaningful. Engine sound, spool characteristics, and performance modeling greatly enhance immersion and realism.
Additionally, many airlines operate or have operated A320 aircraft with V2500 engines. A great example is Wizz Air, which used A320-200 aircraft powered by V2500 engines for many years. Other operators around the world have also relied on this configuration.
Including the V2500 variant would:
Complete the A320 CEO engine lineup
Improve realism for airline-specific operations
Expand livery possibilities for real-world operators
Attract more dedicated Airbus and airline-focused sim pilots
The A320 family is one of the most widely used aircraft series in the world, and having both major CEO engine options represented in the simulator would make the experience even more authentic and comprehensive.
Thank you very much for considering this suggestion and for your continuous improvements to Aerofly.
Best regards
