Hello everyone,
I am reaching out to this knowledgeable community because I have run into a technical roadblock that I cannot overcome on my own, as I am a macOS user.
I am currently in need of a scenery elevation file for LFPG for Aerofly FS 4. My goal is to implement accurate elevation data for the airport and its surroundings to ensure the best possible simulation experience.
I have already processed the source data and prepared a GeoTIFF file (WGS 84 / EPSG:4326) using COP30 data from OpenTopography. However, since the Scenery SDK (specifically map_convert.exe) and AeroScenery are Windows-exclusive, I am unable to compile the final .tth files on my system. I have tried several workarounds, but unfortunately, I haven't been successful.
My Request:
Would someone with a working SDK or AeroScenery setup be kind enough to convert my GeoTIFF file into the Aerofly .tth format and share the output files with me?
File Details:
- Source: GeoTIFF (Elevation data)
- Area: LFPG Airport
- Attachments: Please find the files attached below
Steps for the conversion (for anyone willing to help):
- Download the attached .zip containing the .tif file. (I have attached two .zip files)
- Run the file through the map_convert.exe tool using the -tt (terrain) flag, or via the Elevation tab in AeroScenery.
- Kindly send the resulting folder containing the .tth files back to me, preferably in a zip file. (via this post or via PM)
I truly appreciate the incredible work this community does to keep Aerofly growing. This elevation data is the final piece I need to make LFPG look correct, and I would be deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide.
