FPS bug still persists

  • A few months ago, I raised awareness about how the FPS on the flight simulator was deteriorating over time even when idle on the tarmac. Because of this I stopped playing the sim for quite some time, but recently I decided to see if the Devs had done anything about it, only to be met with the same issue but slightly worse because this time the FPS deterioration was almost instant.

To sum up, I just wanted to bring back awareness to this issue because for me it makes the sim unplayable.

My bad I should of done that before.

    I use an a56 5g with:

    8gb ram

    256gb storage

    Exynos 1580

    Android 16

    Aerofly version:

    01.06.01.28

The bug can recreated at any airport with any aircraft at any time from what I have tested.

  • I’d like to share my issue — I’m experiencing something similar.

I use a Samsung S23 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy), and when I fly the Airbus A350 at night, especially at busy airports like Dubai, my FPS drops significantly — from around 60 down to even below 20.

So I wanted to ask: is my phone really too weak for running the game on full graphics?

Also, I’d like to know — is there any phone where I can play on maximum graphics without frame drops? If yes, could you please suggest which devices would handle it smoothly?

I’d really appreciate your advice. Thank you!

Your phone isn't to weak. This is just a bug because, this only started happening to me after the December update.

I understand your concern, but honestly — your phone isn’t necessarily “bad,” you just need to see it from another perspective.

Aerofly FS is almost a PC-level simulator, and the fact that it even runs on mobile devices is already impressive.

Even on my S23 Ultra, the game struggles when running on full graphics — especially in heavy scenarios. So it’s not really about your phone being weak, it’s about how demanding the game actually is.

If your device is lower-end compared to this, then it’s completely normal to face these issues. I’d recommend playing on medium graphics settings — that should give you a much smoother experience without major FPS drops.

    Hope this helps!

I to though that it could be a graphics issue but even when using the 172 on lowest graphics with opengl I still some how get 20-25 FPS because. The FPS could start of at 50 - 60 but then drop to 15 - 20 after 5 minutes and going. When I first played the SIM this wasn't an issue even on the a350 but it now is.

  • I don't think it's a problem with the simulator; it's a problem with the device. I used Aerofly on an S25 Ultra, 14 Pro Max, and 16 Pro Max without any issues. I did try it once on an S22 Ultra, and I did notice a drop in FPS. I suppose that due to the quality of the graphics and physics, the simulator only works well on powerful devices (which is to be expected since the simulator has very good graphics).

I use a 16 Pro Max and have no problems; I suppose this model or the 17 Pro Max are ideal. You can even see trees in landscapes with the 16

How can a plane idle on the runway be running at 50 FPS at one moment then drop to 20 in the next few minutes. How is that a device issue?
