Vulkan performance as of v01.06.03.05

  • Vulkan Performance in v01.06.01.28:

I don't know if this will be of big help, but im just creating a thread to report the current performance with vulkan so the developers can have a reference point of what worked. Maybe others can share their thoughts.

This has genuinely been the first time I've had better performance with Vulkan than OpenGL. OpenGL still works fine so no issues there, but in aircraft like the a350 my fps has been a lot smoother with Vulkan, even on ultra graphics and around an airport as detailed as KSJC with an average of 40-50fps.

Device: Samsung Galaxy S24+, 12gb ram, Snapdragon 8 gen 3

How many FPS do you get at night with the aircraft lights ON in cockpit view with the A350 at KSJC airport? Mit Vulkan?

I was finally about to perform a full flight again after a long time, and my airport to test the performance was KLAS.

The setting that worked best in my initial post above was when FPS limit was on, somehow allowing it to stabilize past 60fps in some moments even in detailed airports on Ultra (aircraft lights off). From today's test, I disabled FPS limit since it limits it to 30 once again (rip 70fps), and I was for sure getting lower than 30 in KLAS (ultra & high).

Changed the title of the thread from “Vulkan performance as of v01.06.01.28” to “Vulkan performance as of v01.06.03.05”.
