If I understand this correctly from my Airbus knowledge:
- The number below STD (6490 m), that’s your current altitude. The plane is flying at 6,490 meters.
- The number at the top (5490 m), that’s your selected altitude. It’s the altitude that the autopilot or altitude selector is set to reach.
In other words, the plane will descend from 6,490 m down to 5,490 m.
So basically: top = target altitude, bottom = current altitude.
