Regarding the flight log being disconnected during flight

The flight log is lost during flight (without closing the game) and cannot be recovered. The loss usually occurs at specific altitudes (at the peak of ascent and descent), as well as when the landing gear flaps are retracted and when the landing gear is finally lowered.
