It would be cool if Aerofly had an option in the menu where you can select that the sim will automatically pause at the top of descent (in autopilot mode).

I often do long-haul flights at night, so I am almost at the destination when I wake up. This feature would be perfect, in case I oversleep or so;)

(Inibuilds uses this feature and I love it: https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/24994-ho…etup-operation/)

The question I have is why do you keep the app running if you're not even looking at it? Why not just skip ahead if you're not watching it anyway?

    Regards,

In my opinion it feels wrong to use the time skip, idk;(. It is not realistic.

And there must be a reason why Inibuilds implemented this feature

In reality, pilots can't go to bed either! So please explain to me what's realistic and what isn't. 🤷

And on long hauls they go to bed

On long-haul flights, there are several pilots on board who take turns. But you're alone and still go to bed. What does that have to do with realism? 🤦😂

You do know that airliners are flying with at least 2 pilots on board. So 'flying' an airliner alone in a flying game like Aerofly is already very unrealistic.

Is it realistic to halt the flight before landing?

This feature is being used IRL in the multi million dollar Level-D sims as well, so if we are talking about realistic airline pilot training the answer is YES.
