Asymmetrical levers

  • Hello,

I have issues with the Thrustmaster Airbus Quadrant, even after a reinstall and a calibration, levers still do not align correctly with the detents. One lever is on the climb detent, the other one is not. Visually they're both in the exact same position when for example on the CLB detent.

I'd be thankful for any kind of help, thanks in advance.

Am on version 4.8.1.28 on M2 Pro MBP.

  • From my experience with my MacBookPro you have to be patient when assigning the lever, it is difficult to describe it well. If necessary, it makes sense to try out different starting positions when assigning the levers.

    Configurations:

    - MacBook Pro (16", 2024); Chip: Apple M4 Max; actual macOS
    - Controllers: | WinWing: URSA MINOR-Fighter-Joystick R, EFIS-L & FCU & EFIS-R | Thrustmaster TCA AIRBUS EDITION: 2x Quadrant, 2x Quadrant Add-On | Pro-Flight-Trainer: PUMA X | Steelseries: Nimbus+

    - iPad (12,9", 4th Generation, RAM: 6 GB); actual iOS | Steelseries: Nimbus+

  • I'm still waiting for my Virpil stick and I'm presently using the keybord as throttle control.
Even with KB control the thrust levers never move parallel. Neither when I advance the thrust levers nor when I reduce the throttle setting.

Happens on all two engined planes. This is still FS2 btw.

  • For my helicopter controller I made the fine adjustment directly in the user folder in the file gc-map.mcf (text file) and saved it in a backup. In this file, the settings can be set very individually for each input element, it's just a bit of "fumbling".

  • I recently purchased the Thrustmaster Airbus captain pack (I already had the sidestick and thrust levers). The second set of thrust levers has the exact same issue as my original one - Thrust lever two does not match TL1 when in the climb gate, so it looks like a fault with some of the TL's. It works fine, but I can sometimes get an asymmetric lever warning on the PFD. You get what you pay for.
