Possible implementation of the ROW/ROP feature on the A350, A380, and the A320 neo in the near future?

  • Hi IPACS team,

I wanted to suggest the possible implementation of Runway Overrun Warning/ Runway Overrun Prevention (ROW/ROP) for aircraft such as the Airbus A320neo, A350, and A380 in Aerofly FS.

Since some related logic already appears to exist (e.g. runway-related warnings and system outputs), like for example this is implemented “[RunwayWarningTooShort.Output]>”it seems like the full or partial implementation of ROW/ROP could be feasible in the future. As mentioned previously by the team, this feature is already on the wishlist, so I wanted to express support for it and highlight its potential value.

Overall, this would complement the already strong flight model and cockpit detail in Aerofly FS and bring the avionics closer to real Airbus behavior.

Thank you for your continued development and support.

Changed the title of the thread from “Possible implementation of the ROW/ROP feature to the A350, A380 and the A320 in the near future?” to “Possible implementation of the ROW/ROP feature on the A350, A380, and the A320 neo in the near future?”.
  • In fact, these codes have real effects. I used them as input to create some sound. Although they can trigger (as shown in the video below), there seems to be a probability. Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't, and I don't know why at the moment. I have tried using two outputs as input, one is RunwayIsTooShort.Output and the other is RunwayWarningTooShort.Output, but neither of them solved the problem.

Are on ground protections possible? Like “Brake, Max braking, max braking” or “Set max reverse” and “Keep max reverse

I am considering it, but I am currently unable to find a suitable source for clear audio, and I have not fully understood the operation of ROW/ROP in AeroflyFS. I remember that the ground protection system had two red lines on the PFD after landing reminding pilots to use all deceleration devices as much as possible to decelerate. However, when I landed the 500 ton A380 in Gibraltar, there was no such thing, only the alarming red line on the ND. I need to think about its working mode and whether it can be triggered or triggered normally (at least not probabilistically). I remember seeing a player in a post saying they have ground protection, and the official staff also confirmed it, so I will do my best

thanks but what do u exactly mean by the 2 red lines on the PFD? I think you're referring the visual alert on the PFD when on ground protections or ROP kicks in. On the first line it says 'MAX BRAKING" and on the second line it says "MAX REVERSE" they are stacked on top of each other and they are in red
