Panel State Bug

    • PC - Win11, Nvidia 5080, 32GB Ram, Thrustmaster Airbus Pack and Saitek Rudder Pedals (Issue seen with A350, not tested with other aircraft). Reproduced with 3rd party mods and scenery disabled.

Saved panel states are an excellent addition; however, I see an intermittent bug, slightly tricky to explain, so I'll give a scenario.

I land in Dubai - parked at the gate; engines shut down, fuel pumps off. EXT & APU online. Gross weight is 300 tonnes.

Reload FS4 - Every switch is in the exact position I left it, APU on, GW 300T, perfect.

1 out of 10 times (rough figure) I do the same as above: Load the sim. The aircraft is parked in the correct position, but the engines are running, the parking brake is off, and all switches and lighting have returned to a default state. GW is 233 tonnes, 42T of fuel, etc., just like the old panel states before the update.

I had assumed everything was being read from the Main.mcf file and reading [configuration][keep]>

Where is it loading that panel state from?

  • The aircraft state is not saved in the main.mcf file as you guessed correctly, it's actually the aircraft.tms file.
Are you making any modifications to the files before starting the sim back up?

Do you go straight in the the flight or do you open any menu before going into the simulation again?
