Can tanks and missiles be added to the F-15 using the same process as on the F-18?
Tanks for F-15

Why are you laughing, Michael?
I'm not going through Ormuz.
-
I can't wait to see this C-130 finished

-
No more joking around.

Yes, later on, it would be a nice addition. I already have a version of tanks, however, the file configuration is quite different from that of the F-18. But you're probably already familiar with this loading variant.
Back in the FS2 days, some people complained about them wanting to be removed.

Evening Pascal,
when trying out the F15E, I found that the F15E goes into an uncontrolled flight state after taking off. Can you please test if that's the same with you?
Thank you, Tschüss, Michael

Yes, I will check.

Thanks Pascal ( Tomfa ) for the reference to the FS 2 version and the possibility to compare the two system.tmd of the tank addons for the FS 2 and FS 4. As so often in life, it's just a little thing that decides between success and failure
. Specifically, it is about the fact that in FS 4 in the two code lines <[float64][AspectRatioMultiplier][ ]> the values is 1.0 and leads to the crash
, while in FS 2 there is the value 4.0 with which it works.
In a first step, I enclose an addition to use the two external tanks with the Strike Eagle version. I'll look later to throw off the two tanks like the F18.
Note for those who do not know how to install such addons:
- The addons may only be stored in the user directory (never in the original directory of FS 4)!
- In the user directory there is this folder:
- '.../Aerofly FS 4/aircraft'. - In this folder you have to create an identical folder as in the original FS 4 directory (if not already available), in which case that is then:
- '.../Aerofly FS 4/aircraft/f15e'. - In this folder you insert the attached file below after unzipping:
- '.../Aerofly FS 4/aircraft/f15e/strike_eagle_extfueltanks'
If you want to use the addon for the two variants "Splinter" and "Desert", you can do this yourself:
- Copy the folder of the desired variant from the original FS 4 directory "f15e" into the user directory "f15e" and complete the name, for example, with "_extfueltanks".
- Complete the file "parameters.tmd".
- Customize the file "option.tmc" (Description, Requirements).
Have fun and success.

Thank you so much, ApfelFlieger . I was waiting for this to be solved for a very long time. Now it looks more like a fighter jet not a display jet :D.
-
Wingberry this problem was solved a long time ago; all you had to do was ask.

That said, it's just another configuration variation.

I was looking at it, and only difference i see is that buildings in the background have different texture :D.
Maybe that is the reason why I am not a pilot, because of my sight

The advantage that ApfelFlieger brought in this new implementation is in the parameters, which allow these tanks to be installed on other textures, unlike the first variant which was intended only for the texture model, shown above in the image.
