First off, I'm highly aware that the 737-900ER is already in game, making this variant slightly useless. Though I'd like to emphasize once again, I'm talking about the original 737-900. This specific variant of the 737NG family was originally requested by Alaska Airlines in the late 90s, however it didn't sell well and only saw a few operators before being discontinued and later succeeded by the 737-900ER we all know and love today. I'd like to suggest the non ER 737-900 as it allows IPACS to demonstrate several features found on older NGs on the aerofly fs platform.

    Examples include:

    No winglets

    Cockpit eyebrow windows

    Older instruments

Analog standby instruments (such as the horizon, altimeter etc)

    Different MCP types (Rockwell Collins/Honeywell)

Dated lights and textures? Dirt perhaps?

In the end of the day, it might not get added into the sim, though I see this variant as a very unique part of the 737NG family that in my opinion deserves a little more attention and respect. Other than that there's the 737-600 (which could allow for a Janet airlines livery and some area 51 flights 👀) but that's a thread for another time.

Whether it gets added or not, I just hope y'all had a good read or laugh at this, hope it made your day too.

Attached below are a couple of example liveries (there's not much, and due to the limit of uploads, I'd like the also recommend Continental's livery but no winglets and eyebrows, gives it a really classic feel)

Remodeling the cockpit instruments would take months of work and for such a niche aircraft I don't see this attract enough new customers to offset the cost.

The 737-900, -800 without winglets would make sense but they would then share the same cockpit the current ones have.

    Regards,

    Jan

Totally agree with the B737 and B736.

The A318 is also a cool plane, but the addition of it would require modeling a new engine type.

A non-ER B739 would be also cool, but as Jan mentioned above, it would make no sense for IPACS.

Actually I don't mind sharing the same cockpit, though I'd love to see an -800 or -900 without winglets from you guys (well more preferably the 900 haha). Probably one with the bare metal AA livery on it or Continental, or Air China's Peony liveries (B-5177 and B-5176 etc)
