Autopilot bad at anticipating sharp turns?

  • Hi, i’ve noticed whenever there is a turn that involves >40 degree course change the autopilot will always severely overshoot the turn, sometimes even veering more than 2NM off course. I checked if maybe it was an issue with the FMS programming the turn with the wrong speed, but I didn’t see anything that didn’t make sense there. Also happens with no wind, so wind isn’t a factor (although it’s even worse with an opposite crosswind)

I’m not sure if this is a problem with the game’s autopilot itself or if there is anyway to prevent or fix this?

I definitely experience this sometimes but maybe with heavy aircraft. Naturally, heavy aircraft need to fly faster and with faster speed, you need more allowance for the aircraft to turn.
