    Indeed you can, but instead of using the IP address the Wi-Fi is giving you (192.168.0.x etc.) just use the localhost or loopback IP address (127.0.0.1).

    Also, if everything is set up correctly and the app still doesn't see the simulator, you should remove Aerofly from memory and restart it. This usually helps.

    Controlling plane with that will be difficult i think is was made to use on other device rather directly on same device which is playing simulator

    This is true, but it also works well in split view. You just need to look at the map occasionally, then you can swipe it away or pick it up again at any time.
    It can be placed on the right or left side of the screen.

    Correct, or you can run it on a second iOS device. The key here is not so much FSWidgets Navigator, but the sim (or any other app you might use on the iPad at the same time). As long as that app does not force fullscreen, Navigator has the capability to run in tandem.

    With iOS 18 and before (when that wording above was written) Navigator was able to be used as a Split Screen or as a Slide Over on top of the sim. With iOS 26, Apple removed split screen/slide over and are now using Free Form …

    This video demonstrates the use of FS Widget on iPad in Slide Over mode. Takeoff from the satellite image LHZA airport in Zalaegerszeg, flying over the nearby vehicle test track, then landing at the same airport. The video demonstrates the use of the map and how practically all Hungarian airports can be found and used in ultra graphic resolution, even if their runways are not the smoothest.
