• This is a long shot, but does anyone have an A350 technical manual, I have this version but it doesn't mention ECON mode for the APU -

    Client Challenge

APU ECON MODE on the overhead panel is the last bit I need to add to the fuel simulation, but I can't get exact numbers showing how much it reduces fuel burn and bleed air flow. I'd rather not guess, but I could reduce bleed air flow enough that it wont start the engines in ECON mode :/

This would be way easier with the 777 or A330/340, as I have all the tech manuals; my contact at QR for the A350 has moved to New Zealand

  • Thanks, I managed to get it working 🙂 GW and GWCG are adjusting automatically. just need to hook up the right and center tank.

Jesus, this is incredible! I wish it worked on the aircraft in the game... one day it will happen.

  • Maybe I've misunderstood :) But this does work in the sim, just PC only atm, the devs will add the Android and iOS versions in the future.

Tbh I don't see why my mod couldn't be converted to Android or IOS by another mod creator, one of my other mods is currently being converted, and that was way more complex than this. I personally don't have the time to look into.

I've finished the A350 - Will get someone to test on the Mac for sure. Then I'll do the A321XLR next.

I won't be releasing it publicly, as I don't think the devs want people potentially running out of fuel and complaining. So it will only be a private link via PM

honestly, why hasn't this been implemented for a long time? Cant we at least have linear fuel drain officially?

    Hey mate,

Working on the A350 took a lot of effort (with the help of Jan & ApfelFlieger answering questions) I was up through the night trying to get this working, over a few days, and the A350 has a relatively easy fuel logic. I can't imagine what its like doing Concord's fuel logic. Take a look at ApfelFlieger C130 fuel logic (on page 1)

The devs will also likely want a full fueling system and GUI, I have only connected the fuel burn logic, refueling, and Jettison (that already existed)

They have stated they do plan to implement fuel burn officially, but these things take time.

Also, keep in mind that the majority of the user base really doesn't care about stuff like this. I create mods for myself primarily; I expect only a handful of people to download them. It wouldn't be a good business model to focus on that first. They need to keep the business profitable.

  • I agree with 777Driver on all points.

We third-party developers have it easier, because we only make it more or less only for ourselves or a small group, who are then more generous towards us in case of mistakes.

With FUEL&LOAD, IPACS has thankfully started a topic that will offer many more possibilities.

With regard to FUEL, I have been dealing intensively with the C130 since December 2025 and, in my opinion, I have been able to implement everything that is currently possible, including the effect of gravity through the coordinates of the individual elements (tanks, valves, pumps, fuel filter and engines). But it is an extensive coding that also requires a lot of adaptability effort for existing aircraft, so that it is simulated in an exemplary manner. With the C130, for example, it is possible to simulate refuelling and defueling on the ground in an exemplary manner - but who will actually use this if it is faster and easier with the sliders in FUEL&LOAD? Nevertheless, my work was not useless, because I have now also realized the different filling of the individual tanks (4x main tank, 2x auxiliary tanks, 2x external tanks and 1x fuselage tank) through the slider from FUEL&LOAD.

With the C172, for example, refueling could be simulated well - if you could unscrew the tank caps. But here, too, the question arises, who would really use it?

So much for a bit of a "look behind the scenes" from the point of view of a third-party developer with a lot of anticipation for what will be officially coming in the next few years.
