I would like to report a bug with RPM indicators, which are showing red critical values even when engines are idle.

Did you switch the RPM needle scaling back after the engine start?

Can we not declare the definite presence of A BUG (!) unless we are 99.9% certain that the effect is not due to a possible procedure or knowledge deficiency on our part. There is no need to blacken the reputation of the sim with false faults, a mild enquiry is sufficient and more appropriate.
