I’ve noticed in any Airbus when I decide to do a flap config 3 landing, the APP speed the MCDU gives me is always too slow for a flaps 3 landing and I’m forced to do a flaps FULL landing. Any way to fix this?

How low are we talking? The approach speed for flaps 3 should be higher than flaps full and just barely below the flap retraction speed. The pitch angle will be higher just as in the real world.

Did you select Conf 3 when configuring landing settings in the Performance section?

To use flaps 3 for landing, without "flaps too low" warnings, you must set flaps CONF3 in the MCDU -> PERF, APPR phase and also enable LDG FLAP 3 in the GPWS section of the overhead panel (it is at its left side). See the screenshots.

Yes I do both and the speed it gives here is always too slow
And to IPACS: sometimes 20ish knots slower

Do you have a screenshot of the aircraft's gross weight?

138 should be normal for an average-loaded Airbus (even the A380). As 777Driver suggested, post a screenshot of the aircraft's weights.
Do you land opposite to the wind or with tail wind? (we always land opposite to the wind)
It could be a bug, for now try to set auto-thrust with selected speed to something slightly higher.

138 kts in the MCDU is IAS.... not influenced by groundspeed

You might feel like the speed is very slow because the angle of attack is greater in Mode 3. I thought it was strange at first, too, but it’s normal.

It could be a bug. For now, try using auto-thrust with a selected speed set slightly higher and see if the behavior changes. While troubleshooting long flights and simulator issues, I sometimes browse https://oncasinos.ca/ for casino reviews and gaming guides during cruise segments when there's not much to do in the cockpit.
That’s normal in Airbus logic - managed speed is based on full landing config by default, not flaps 3. For CONF 3 you usually need to manually set Vapp + a bit (or select flaps 3 early so the FMGS recalculates). Otherwise it’ll always push you toward FULL.

That is very interesting, I dont think i've seen that behaviour on any simulated Airbus.
My understanding was - select config 3 in the MCDU, it give you flap 3 VLS, then adjusts Vapp automatically with G/S mini, depending on wind component. Is that not the case? You have to go to se ected speed? How does g/s mini work in config 3
