Developer Camera Issues

  • After enabling the use of the Dev Camera in the Main MCF File, I've used it for a bit and noticed some slight problems.

    1. When using the camera, pressing "Q" mutes all the sound.
    2. The Camera moves faster when looking up, and is very slow and choppy looking directly horizontal or down. (Maybe that is on purpose.)
    3. When using replay mode (as if I were a plane spotter) When pressing Crtl+f8, the game is paused, and the plane was in its last state before using the dev camera. (This is not much of an issue) The main issue is that the plane is sort of choppy when using the dev camera in replay mode, so it looks like I'm lagging.
    4. Frequent crashes, sometimes respawning the plane will cause the game to crash because the developer camera is loading in its last known location. Or sometimes certain angles will cause too many chunks to load in, also leading to a crash.

Other than that, this is an amazing game and these are the only issues I have had both from PC, and IOS.

    1. You can change the key assignments for camera move and for sound on/off in the controls settings. The 'q' key (if default assignments are kept) should always work to toggle the sound, regardless of the use of dev cam.
    2. Check your graphics quality settings, this is probably an FPS issue
    3. The dev camera is designed to inspect airports, it's not really intended as a spotter view and thus automatically pauses the simulation intentionally
    4. as in 3. the camera is intended to be used with the pause mode active to prevent aircraft crashes. To avoid looking at unloaded scenery the dev camera resets when getting too far away from the aircraft. Again, pause mode should be kept active to avoid any issues with the dev cam.

    Okay thank you!
