Hi everyone I talked about this project on a thread and figured out it would be better to create its own thread!
We have been building SimRoster a year and so far have 1000+ happy users. A lot of Aerofly sessions start the same way for me: I want to fly, but I don't want to spend half an hour hunting for a realistic route and flight number. I built SimRoster so I could pick a leg quickly and get airborne.
SimRoster works on the web no install, no plugin. Open it on your phone or tablet next to Aerofly, or on a laptop/browser tab while you fly. Touch-friendly enough for a second device; everything stays in sync if you switch devices later.
Two ways to fly:
Flight Browser
Browse 15,000+ real-world routes across 31 airlines. Filter by airline, aircraft, city, haul, or distance. Not locked into a career, find a route, fly it in Aerofly, log it. Save for later if you're browsing now and flying later.
Career Mode
Sign with a real airline, receive dispatch assignments, file PIREPs, earn type ratings, and progress from Junior FO to Captain. Career flights go through dispatch review before hours credit to your logbook.
Browser flights and career assignments all feed the same logbook, one place for your hours, ranks, and history.
Routes use real flight numbers, city pairs, and aircraft matched to each airline's network. We've been refreshing schedules (including European carriers) based on pilot feedback when something looks off.
What it is / isn't: SimRoster is for choosing what to fly and structuring an airline career not replacing whatever you use for charts or planning. For Aerofly, think of it as the dispatch board on your second screen.
