Built a route browser and career simulator that works with any sim, including Aerofly. Meet SimRoster

  • Hi everyone I talked about this project on a thread and figured out it would be better to create its own thread!

We have been building SimRoster a year and so far have 1000+ happy users. A lot of Aerofly sessions start the same way for me: I want to fly, but I don't want to spend half an hour hunting for a realistic route and flight number. I built SimRoster so I could pick a leg quickly and get airborne.

SimRoster works on the web no install, no plugin. Open it on your phone or tablet next to Aerofly, or on a laptop/browser tab while you fly. Touch-friendly enough for a second device; everything stays in sync if you switch devices later.

    Two ways to fly:

    Flight Browser
Browse 15,000+ real-world routes across 31 airlines. Filter by airline, aircraft, city, haul, or distance. Not locked into a career, find a route, fly it in Aerofly, log it. Save for later if you're browsing now and flying later.

    Career Mode
Sign with a real airline, receive dispatch assignments, file PIREPs, earn type ratings, and progress from Junior FO to Captain. Career flights go through dispatch review before hours credit to your logbook.

Browser flights and career assignments all feed the same logbook, one place for your hours, ranks, and history.

Routes use real flight numbers, city pairs, and aircraft matched to each airline's network. We've been refreshing schedules (including European carriers) based on pilot feedback when something looks off.

What it is / isn't: SimRoster is for choosing what to fly and structuring an airline career not replacing whatever you use for charts or planning. For Aerofly, think of it as the dispatch board on your second screen.

    START USING IT TODAY!

  • Fair question. Your email is used to create your account, authenticate you, and send essential service emails (not sold to third parties). Usage/security logs are collected as needed to run the app. Essentially like any other online service you might use (i.e) navigraph.

Changed the title of the thread from “Built a route browser and career simulator that works with any sim, including Aerofly SimRoster” to “Built a route browser and career simulator that works with any sim, including Aerofly. Meet SimRoster”.
  • It says something about a temporarily free version. I have no idea; the button is blue but it doesn't work.Never mind, I just wanted to try it out. It's not a big deal.

Quick update: it's working now, no idea why it didn't work right away. And yes, it's not free. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.

  • Unfortunately, it's not working for me. I can't proceed to the next step on the "Departure Time" page. (Android)

Hi sorry you got stuck on the Departure times step.

We found and fixed a bug on Android where your airline/base choices could be lost after the app was interrupted, so Continue did nothing even though it looked normal. The fix is now live.

Please refresh the page and try onboarding again. If anything still fails, reply with your device and browser and we’ll help you finish setup.

    Thanks for reporting it.

  • Hello bro am suffering in logging and to create my account please I need your help 🙏

So help all the people who want to see IPACS collapse? I want to see all, repeat all the others fail. Apart from the inexcusable audio thing I'm 100.00% behind Aerofly.

  • I hesitated for a long time between giving it a like, but in the end I'm still staying positive.:)

I agree to continue supporting this company 100%, except for one thing that seems fundamental to me today in the face of increasingly fierce competition: they absolutely must increase their workforce in Tubigen if they want to remain competitive.
The world of simulation is becoming a real shark war.

  • It's just a career simulation. Why would people want Aerofly to go under because of that? There are plenty of other apps that can be used with flight simulators.I don't understand your statement. I don't see this as competition for Aerofly; it's something completely different.

  • Okay. Is payment only possible by card? If so, I'm out. My card details aren't for this kind of thing. Good night.

I use a separate Revolut account for stuff like this, stick a small bit of cash there. Never give my main account details. Revolut is free to set up.

Hi can you please tell me what exactly did not work right away? Could be a rare issue but still would like to fix it.
