Fuel moving around tank

  • I am still trying to wrap my head around what is actually happening inside the fuel tanks, is the liquid moving around actually simulated in the A350? I was carrying out a test flight from Hong Kong to Joburg SA. Due to a Navigraph error, I forgot to factor in the extra 15% fuel burn compared to the real aircraft; the result was I had around 4T at the top of descent, way less than I should have. This actually highlighted an unseen feature - What I noticed was that some fuel became unusable, but when the pitch angle changed from nose-up in cruise to nose-down in descent, that fuel became usable again.

I thought I understood tank geometry, but this looks like the fuel is moving inside the tank based on pitch angle

I'll add gravity feed for the remaining fuel

  • 777Driver Do you have my current fuel code from the C130? In it I have depicted the complete fuel system of the C130 both technically and from the coordinates and we have not yet noticed any unusual behavior.

    - MacBook Pro (16", 2024); Chip: Apple M4 Max; actual macOS
    - Controllers: | WinWing: URSA MINOR-Fighter-Joystick R, EFIS-L & FCU & EFIS-R | Thrustmaster TCA AIRBUS EDITION: 2x Quadrant, 2x Quadrant Add-On | Pro-Flight-Trainer: PUMA X | Steelseries: Nimbus+

    - iPad (12,9", 4th Generation, RAM: 6 GB); actual iOS | Steelseries: Nimbus+

  • Can you resend pls? It was very strange behaviour. I was at top of the descent, so I hardly burnt any fuel on descent. I had 1.5 tonnes left on taxi in; the engines should have flamed out when the aircraft was pitched up and not consuming fuel; thankfully, I coded it to flame out when less than 50kg is in the relevant wing tank.

  • Gladly, here is everything that has to do with Fuel in the area of DynamicObjects.
