I have some good news for all owners of my Spain and Mediterranean scenery: :)

After a wait of just ten years, I have managed to close the gap up near Montpellier, thereby seamlessly connecting the Marseille-Nice-Bella Italia scenery with my Spain scenery.

If you would like to have it, please get in touch with me. Hope, you like it. :S

    Hope, you like it. :)

Thanks Marco! Looks great. Still planning to get an external SSD to put so much content we now have for our sim.

    Best regards, Juan

Hi Marco, can you take a picture of that tool opening the label of elevation please? What is the source of elevation in AFS4 maps? Thanks! I need to confirm for the tool I am building.

    Best regards, Juan

I have nothing to do with elevation data—I have no idea about that. That’s a different department.

I have no idea about elevation☹️, but only idea of individual heights in the individual elements😊. This may sound curious - and has this background:

ELEVATION is a separate folder in FS 4 next to AIRPORTS, CULTIVATION, IMAGES and POI. Elevation is about the altitude mesh of larger areas. In the FS 2 relatively much additional had to be created, in the case of FS 4 this is now largely covered by the FS 4. One of the specialists for this is chrispriv .

The heights of the individual objects in the AIRPORTS and POI folders refer to this parent elevation mesh. According to my observation, for example, in a TOC file, the function autoheight refers to 1 point for all objects in this file. In flat areas this fits, but not in hilly areas. For the Hawaii scene, this means, for example, that cars and cows can only be combined into very small areas, so that they do not partially float and partially dive.

    Tschüss, Michael (🍎🚁)
