Wind Turbines - rotors rotate in the wrong direction

  • In the model, most rotors in wind turbines rotate clockwise (view of the rotor hub). On the FS 4, the rotor blades at least of the 'wind turbine_125m' are also designed in such a way that they should also rotate clockwise in the wind.

However, the rotors actually rotate to the left, i.e. counterclockwise - and thus the wrong way around.

    Configurations:

    - MacBook Pro (16", 2024); Chip: Apple M4 Max; actual macOS
    - Controllers: | WinWing: URSA MINOR-Fighter-Joystick R, EFIS-L & FCU & EFIS-R | Thrustmaster TCA AIRBUS EDITION: 2x Quadrant, 2x Quadrant Add-On | Pro-Flight-Trainer: PUMA X | Steelseries: Nimbus+

    - iPad (12,9", 4th Generation, RAM: 6 GB); actual iOS | Steelseries: Nimbus+

  • They spin in the wrong direction and are facing the wrong way, so visually from a distance the direction is correct (two negatives make a right?). But as you said they are modeled incorrectly and the turbine blades are modeled as if they were propeller blades. They would work like that in the real world but it's quite inefficient :D
