JackL since you're in the area, I suggest you visit the heart of Asturias (LEAS) via the approach to runway 11.
And if you also have the opportunity to visit Asturias in person, you'll be amazed.
Then, follow the coast to Gijón, then Santander (LEXJ), both very beautiful regions.

Ever since this thread was opened, Ive been searching the world for fun/bizarre airports to fly to. The airports I’ve found cover a huge variety, from mountainous/valley terrain, to ocean/coastal views. Out of the airports I have discovered, here are my 4 favorites:
Tangier Island Airport KTGI Near Delaware, USA
Enjoy remote coastal flying in this ocean surrounded short runway airport
Geralds Airport TRPG In Caribbean Islands
Enjoy mountainous and ocean views on this stunning short runway departure and scenic flight
Sion Airport LSGS Near Mt. Diablerets
Enjoy a scenic flight through a valley and mountainous terrain
Skagway Airport PAGY In Alaska
Enjoy a scenic flight viewing the stunning mountains, small towns, and rivers in Alaska
Hope this helps!
I wish it would snow like this in winter.

Yes, I agree. Overall, AeroFly needs a better weather system, including snow, rain, etc.

I found another airport and figured I’d share it with you all.

This is a fun, short-runway airport right near Seattle, Washington, giving incredible views of the city. It provides a beautiful approach over Lake Washington onto Runway 16. It also gives an incredible view of the famous Mt. Rainier.
Here is the RNAV approach chart for RWY 16, showing the route going right over Lake Washington:

For a change of scenery and for those who enjoy mountain challenges, here are four altiports! Megève, Alpe d'Huez, Courchevel,
and finally Croix de Coeur, this one without a map.
I love VFR flying; the Piper Cub is perfect for this kind of challenge! And of course, clear skies are preferable.

Enjoy !

Try it, you won't get bored, your choice is hard or grass.

This is truly a great thread. I love the recommendations. It is easy to forget how many adventures and experiences still wait in this simulator for us to discover. Thank you all for the inspiration.
If you want to make your approaches even more of a challenge, try using unusual aircraft. I once did a simulated Scandinavian tour in the Pitts S-2. 😉
