Pushback vehicle brakes

I encountered the A380 in Copenhagen in cold/dark conditions. During the pushback procedure without running engines, the brakes of the pushback aircraft were practically ineffective.To bring the aircraft to a stop, I had to abort the pushback. This also happens at other airports and with all larger aircraft.
