Interface cable generation 1 compatible?

Hi,

I am wondering whether my 1st generation interface cable would work with RC7.
I understand that the dongle functionality itself is not required anymore. But I still d'like to use my Futaba sender with that cable.
Or do I have to buy the new adapter cable too?

I am pretty sure that you will not need an other cable.
Ikarus does not require a special interface and also I have a rather old one.

My point is, that my interface cable got broken. Now i am trying to figure out if i should replace it by Ikarus or if I should order the new one which seems not to be compatible with older versions of the sim since they are still using the dongle functionality. I actually don't want to loose the backward compatibility.

RC7 does not need a dongle. Just an ordinary interface.
It depends on which other Sim you like to operate. If AFPD or AF5, you still need the dongle.
