Airbus A320 fly by wire in RC7

  • Hello everyone,

I am happy to announce that I got a fly-by-wire system working in the current aerofly RC 7.2.1.
The Airbus A320 is now controlled via pitch and bank angle hold! Also I implemented the first simple protection systems. Like the real A320 my modification of the rc7 airbus a320 only allows +30deg /-15deg pitch and +-67deg bank. Its pretty amazing how little control input it take now to fly the aircraft.

Here a few other things that this modification can do:

    • Arm spoilers on approach -> automated spoiler deployment on touch down,
    • actual revers thurst,
    • rotating engine blades,
    • realistic flap and slat settings,
    • spoilers help the aileron,
    • front wheel steering protection -> no harsh deflection when to fast
    • doors locked on taxi and during flight,
    • parking brake that can hold the full thrust of both engines at full power,
    • modified sound by Puzom, reversers also have sound,
    • softer landing gear: you can see the gear be pushed together by the weight of the aircraft,
    • you can also fly the aircraft into the ground without it bouncing to much.

    • Also the weight got increased so that the airbus need more runway and does a realistic flare.
    • The cg of the fuselage is now lower so that the airbus is easier to control on crosswind landings...

All in all that makes up for 1800 additional lines of tmd code.

So what do you think? Are you excited? :D
Krzysk, I know at least you are! :)

    Cheers,
    Jan
