Just passing RIGDE intersection/hold inbound to Marina on 082 track.
Marina VOR 11 approach can be done in the Baron. The Salinas VOR works but only allows one obs setting, 090 degrees but this gives information from 080 to 100 degrees with the +/- ten degrees indication of the VOR display. If the second last dot on the left is used as a reference point for the indicator needle an inbound track (or outbound if the right side dot is used) of 082 can be followed (i.e. the 090 inbound is shown 8 degrees to the left (or north in this case) of the track being flown).
The airport is not displayed in good detail but the VOR can be used in a published procedure with intersections and a holding pattern defined by radial, DME and a NDB cross bearing all of which work well. The superb SkyVector chart site gives info' if the airport is clicked.
